At Spring Mills Manufacturing, Inc., we offer a wide array of Pressure Sensitive Tapes that are ideal for a wide range of taping applications. All of the tapes are designed to work seamlessly with all Gettig Tape and Labeling Equipment that we offer.

ELECTRICAL TAPES

These Polyester tapes are popular with the electrical and automotive industry for use in applications requiring good electrical and/or temperature properties. The high strength characteristics of these tapes make them ideal for high temperature (150° C) applications.

The #4010 Clear Polyester tape, which can meet UL specification 510 as being Flame Retardant, is most often used with our automatic labeling system as an over laminate. This provides not only a method to bind numerous objects together but also protects the printer generated label against wear, dirt, heat and other environmental conditions. This tape has survived even when soaked for seven days in fluids such as brake, transmission, and windshield washer fluid, as well as antifreeze, motor oil, salt water, or when subjected to temperature extremes of 150° C to -40°C. This tape also has enough initial stick to adhere to slippery products such as PTFE, polyethylene or other smooth non-porous surfaces.

Our #7015 Black Polyester tape, which can meet UL specification 510 as being Flame Retardant, is commonly used to insulate an electrical splice or to hold a group of wires in a bundle. This tape has survived even when soaked for seven days in: brake, transmission, and windshield washer fluid, as well as antifreeze, motor oil, salt water, or when subjected to temperature extremes of 150° C to -40°C. This tape also has enough initial stick to adhere to slippery products such as PTFE, Polyethylene or other like surfaces.

The #4002 Clear Polyester tape, which can meet UL specification 510 as being Flame Retardant, is most often used with our automatic labeling system as an over laminate. This provides not only a method to bind numerous objects together, but also protects the printer generated label against wear, dirt, heat and other environmental conditions. This tape has survived even when soaked for seven days in: transmission, and windshield washer fluid, as well as antifreeze, motor oil, salt water, or when subjected to temperature extremes of 150° C to -40°C and has even shown some resistance to Brake Fluid. This material has passed GM6121 AB Under the Hood Labeling Specification.

The #4004 Black Polyester tape, which can meet UL specification 510 as being Flame Retardant, is most often used to insulate an electrical splice or to hold a group of wires in a bundle. This tape has survived even when soaked for seven days in: antifreeze, motor oil, salt water, transmission fluid, or windshield washer fluid, or when subjected to temperature extremes of 150° C to -40°C and has shown some resistance to brake fluid. The #4004 tape is listed under Ford specification #ESFM3G164-A.

PACKAGING TAPES

Our packaging tapes are often used to temporarily hold bundles of wires or other products from the point of manufacture to the point of use, and then they can be easily removed. They are an ideal replacement for twist ties or hand taping when used with our automatic equipment. This tape is also printable for identification with part numbers, instructions, and U.L. information or company logos. Various colors of tape can be used to mark items or to show the difference between two similar items.

Our #7011 Paper Tape is most commonly used for packaging, color-coding or for tear-a-way applications. It can be custom printed or flood coated to match any color that may be required. Standard colors are: white, yellow, blue, orange, pink, red, and green.

Our UPVC Vinyl Tape is most commonly used as a packaging tape or for color-coding. It can be custom printed or flood coated to match any specific color requirement. UPVC tapes have some resistance to moisture, solvent and alkalis. The recommended operating temperature for this tape is between -4 to 158 degrees F. Standard colors are: #4005 white, #4006 black, #4007 clear, #4008 blue, #4009 red, #7000 silver, #7004 yellow, #7005 orange, #7006 green, #7007 gray, and #7008 tan.
